Why did Econoburn set out to create the best-built, most efficient wood-fueled boilers on this continent? We wanted to provide a viable alternative to dependence on oil and other fossil fuels; utilize a safe, renewable energy source; and save American homeowners and business owners a lot of money in the process.
How did we accomplish our goal? By utilizing more than 60 years experience manufacturing high-quality steel goods, advanced technology, and innovative thinking. In 2005, the Econoburn division was created, aided by the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA), which shared our vision for a better way to heat homes and commercial installations.
Today, Econoburn has two locations: our original shop on the shores of Lake Erie in Brocton, NY and our newest facility in Hamburg, near Buffalo. Thanks to over half-a-century of metal fabricating experience and state-of-the-art manufacturing, Econoburn™ has earned its status as the best built, most efficient wood-fuel boiler made in North America today, certified to UL®, CSA, AWA, and MilSpec standards. Each one is constructed of heavy-duty 1/4-inch ASME Grade 36 carbon steel, and double-welded for even greater strength and durability. Equally important, the unique two-stage “gasification” technology at the heart of Econoburn’s advanced “closed” system enables their boilers to achieve an amazing 87% thermal {real} efficiency (verified by independent testing facilities) from wood-fuel sources. As a result, Econoburn boilers can generate remarkable amounts of heat at considerably less cost, and do so over a life span two-to-three times greater than “open” heating systems.
For residential and agricultural applications, Econoburn wood-fuel boilers burn so efficiently, a homeowner can save thousands of dollars on yearly heating costs. With models ranging from 100,000-500,000 BTUs, they can easily satisfy even the most demanding heating and hot water requirements. Furthermore, Econoburn boilers burn just half the wood of conventional wood burners for even greater savings.
